The Nespresso Inissia Espresso Machine by DeLonghi

There are several things to consider when buying an espresso maker. Hopefully, by reading this product review, you’ll have a better idea what features to look for. Typically, espresso makers are big, and they take up a considerable amount of storage space. If you have many kitchen appliances but limited counter space, that could be an issue. The Nespresso Inissia is one of the smallest espresso makers around. But what it lacks in size it makes up for in features.

The Nespresso Inissia Espresso Machine by DeLonghi is a fully-automatic espresso maker. It’s simple to use. Just fill the 24-ounce water tank, insert the capsule, and choose among the two buttons – espresso (small coffee icon) or lungo (big coffee icon). Espresso is coffee brewed by forcing boiling water under pressure through finely ground coffee beans. It is rich and has a slight crema on top. Meanwhile, a lungo is an Italian-style coffee, short black with much more water.

There is no on/off switch on this machine. Just plug it in, press either the espresso or lungo button, and enjoy perfectly made coffee. A fast heat up time means water reaches the ideal temperature in just 25 seconds. To save on energy, it automatically switches off after 9 minutes. Plus, the folding drip tray drops down automatically to catch drips when you remove your mug.

When professional baristas talk about espresso machines, the usual question is: “How many bars does it produce?” This is because not many machines can produce more than 15 bars of pressure. The Nespresso Inissia is capable of producing 19 bars of pressure, and that’s pretty impressive, given its small size. This means that it can shoot through the Nespresso capsule much quicker. And that leads to a cleaner and sweeter coffee.

This espresso maker includes a set of 16 Nespresso capsules with distinct aromas. Why buy a high-end espresso machine when you can get the same quality at a more budget-friendly price? The Nespresso Inissia Espresso Machine by DeLonghi is a good buy not just because it’s affordable, but because it makes amazing espresso.
